International English Scholarships at the University of Ottawa 2024

The University of Ottawa is pleased to notify undergraduate students who would like to enroll at the institution to pursue their degree that the application for International English Scholarships is now available.

Students studying in English from Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, or Bangladesh are eligible for the International English Scholarship. Their tuition costs will be lowered if they enroll in any of the qualified English-language undergraduate programs. The program’s goal is to help students find university learning more manageable. Dual citizenship holders who are nationals of both Canada and another nation are not eligible because they are already qualified for Canadian tuition rates.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to apply for the International English scholarships must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Candidates must be citizens of one of the mentioned nations or of any country in Africa.
  • Candidates must be freshly admitted to one of the English-language undergraduate programs provided by one of the aforementioned faculties for the fall 2024 session.
  • Candidates must be enrolled full-time and refrain from enrolling in the French immersion stream.
  • Applicants must have a valid study permit when classes begin.
  • When they enroll in an appropriate undergraduate program offered in English, students from Africa, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, or Vietnam will automatically be eligible for an Entrance or Excellence renewable, average-based scholarship. In the same programs, South Korean and Chinese students will be given consideration for Excellence scholarships.

Once you have applied to the University of Ottawa and obtained your uoAccess ID and password, you may apply for the International English Scholarships or any other scholarships or bursaries that interest you. The application forms are typically accessible two months prior to the application deadline.
